Today, Tribal Gaming is fulfilling its promise to be an important economic engine, not just for tribal people, but for all Arizonans. Ten years ago the voters of Arizona passed Proposition 202, which expressed their strong support for continuing Indian gaming on tribal lands.
Since it was established, tribes have contributed over $1.2 billion to Arizona via the Arizona Benefits Fund.
Gaming tribes also share revenues with non-gaming tribes, which is enabling them to meet critical needs such as education, infrastructure, healthcare, and more. Many non-gaming tribes are located in remote and rural areas of the state and have limited economic development opportunities. We hope you agree that the Indian gaming industry is important to you and to our State and that you will become a FRIEND OF BENEFITING ARIZONA.
